Wooden Head Box with Sliding Lid and Neck Notch
Solid wood head box with a sliding lid cut with a neck notch.
2 photos sur 2
The head box is a single-purpose piece and it is deliberately simple: a solid wood box with a sliding lid, the lid cut with a semicircular notch so it closes around the neck rather than resting on it.
Because the lid slides rather than hinges, the closure is one movement and there is no projecting hardware to catch on anything in transit. It is the most straightforward item in the box range and the cheapest to freight.
Box size, neck notch diameter and timber are made to drawing.
